Overview:

St. Joseph Academy (SJA), a private all-girls high school in Cleveland, Ohio, wanted to increase its social media engagement and create buzz around the long-awaited acceptance letter.

To celebrate each incoming student’s acceptance and build excitement before their first day, the school partnered with Woodshed Creative to produce custom branded welcome boxes for an on-brand unboxing experience that delivered school pride right to their doorstep.

Challenges:

The school needed a creative way to make a lasting first impression on newly accepted students while reinforcing their brand and building early community engagement on social media.

The boxes needed to be eye-catching, durable enough for shipping, and designed to encourage social media sharing among students and families—all while staying aligned with the school's visual identity and tone.

Solutions:

Custom boxes feel more like a gift than a piece of mail. Every detail—from the “Congratulations!” greeting to the phrase “Future Jaguar” (a nod to the school’s mascot)—made students feel proud and excited about their next chapter. SJA’s branding was incorporated throughout, including school colors, logos, and messaging. The boxes also included the school’s social media handles and a dedicated hashtag to encourage unboxing videos and posts, helping to spread the celebration across platforms.

Execution:

Our production team ensured every box was printed with vibrant, consistent colors and sharp graphics, maintaining the premium look and feel that St. Joseph Academy was aiming for.

The sturdy design protected the contents inside, while the social media call-outs on the exterior turned each box into a share-worthy moment.

The result was more than just a mailer—it was a branded experience that students were excited to share.

The large bulk order was delivered (on time and in budget) to the SJA team to stuff with curated school swag, along with the long-awaited letter.

Impact:

The welcome boxes created a wave of online buzz and school pride. Incoming students took to social media to post unboxing videos and share their excitement using the school’s hashtag, amplifying the school’s brand and reaching future classes in the process. It not only made students feel special—it made them feel like part of the Jaguar community from the very start.
