Embarking on a new mission.
A career U.S. Navy vet came home from deployment and needed help with his next mission. He enlisted Woodshed to brand his home remodeling business and give him the tools to quickly earn trust and tell his unique story.
See the project below.
Overview:
Anxiously awaiting touchdown onto US soil after yet another long deployment in Afghanistan, Kevin came to us with a new mission: help him launch his own home improvement business so he could provide for his family as he reentered civilian life.
Challenges:
With the home renovation industry already heavily saturated, he knew he needed to stand out and quickly build trust with his potential customers. His mission was to overcome those challenges with a newly crafted identity that better aligned with his goals.
Solution:
Like nearly all of our projects, we started with several brand strategy sessions which led to creating a unique brand that told the story. Following this strategy phase, we carefully crafted his new brand identity and touchpoints.
Woodshed delivered a professional identity package that communicated trust and safety, and told the story of his time as a Navy Seabee — helping him stand out in a crowded market.
Execution:
We developed a logo and cohesive identity package inspired by his Navy background, before designing and producing high-end business cards and a series of other items that would help him build trust and appeal to his specific target market segment (primarily upper-middle-class working moms).
We also developed a website that introduces Kevin as the face of the business, showcasing some of his recent work, displaying a few happy client reviews, and encouraging website visitors to schedule an estimate — all in a digestible, single-page format that his busy target market would love.
Impact:
Armed with his new visual identity package, website, and marketing materials, Kevin was able to build trust with potential clients and capture the multi-faceted, larger-scale projects he’d had in his sights.
